I’m Ben, the one-person studio behind Clever Rabbit. I design and build websites, online shops and brands for Halesowen businesses, from my desk in B68, three and a half miles away.
(Where I am)
Halesowen town centre is 3.5 miles from my desk, past Quinton and over junction 3 of the M5. The Cornbow Centre, the high street and the business parks around the town are all an easy drive.
Halesowen already has some long-established web design firms, and that is fine. What I offer is different: one person who designs and builds every part of your site, real case studies you can check, and a fixed price with no VAT added on top.
From the shops around the Cornbow Centre to engineering firms, trades and professional services, Halesowen businesses need the same thing online: a site that loads fast on a phone, explains what you do in plain words and makes it easy to get in touch.
(Why local)
Business customers look you up before they call. M Howells, a contractor working for councils and Tier 1 firms, needed a site that passes that check, so the credentials and project history come first.
If your business still runs on spreadsheets and paper, part of the website can do the admin for you. I built Sheriff & Penny a system that writes letters, builds case files and tracks progress on its own.
An online shop lets you sell long after the high street closes. Prompt Angel’s WooCommerce store takes payment and delivers its products automatically, day and night.
(What I build)
Up to five pages, designed for your business, fast on phones and ready for Google.
Larger sites with custom design, animation and features built around how you work.
WooCommerce stores with products, payments, delivery and stock set up properly.
A logo, colours and type that make you look like the business you are.
The repetitive admin handed to software, scoped after a free call.
Fast hosting, backups, updates and someone to call when something breaks.
Fixed quotes after a free chat. Not VAT registered, so the price you see is the price you pay.
(How it works)
A call, a coffee or a WhatsApp. You tell me what you need and I ask the questions that matter.
A clear price and timeline in writing before anything starts. No hourly surprises.
You see the design early, give feedback, and watch it come together. I keep you posted throughout.
I put it live, check it on every device and look after it afterwards, from £15 a month.

Clever Rabbit is in B68, 3.5 miles from Halesowen town centre, a few minutes down the M5 or through Quinton. I work across Halesowen, Dudley borough and the wider West Midlands.
When it helps, yes. Most projects run over calls, WhatsApp and email, but I am happy to meet you in Halesowen to talk things through.
You deal with the person doing the work, from the first call to launch and after. You get a fixed quote before anything starts, no VAT on top, and you can see real work for real clients on this site.
Starter websites begin at £1,995, bespoke websites at £3,495 and online shops at £4,995. You get a fixed price in writing after a short chat.
Often, yes. After a free call I scope the job and give you a fixed build price from £995, with ongoing care from £99 a month so it keeps running smoothly.
It depends on the size of the job. Recent builds have taken from two weeks to about four weeks from first contact to launch. You get a timeline with your quote.
Yes. Every site is built for phones first and tested on real devices, and I keep pages light so they load quickly, which also helps with Google.
I do. Hosting starts at £15 a month with backups and updates included, and you can message me directly when anything needs changing.
(Let’s talk)
Tell me what you need. You’ll hear back from me, Ben, not a sales team. Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm.
