Case study · CONSTRUCTION
A tender-ready website for a family-owned contractor trusted by Tier 1 firms and local authorities for over 20 years.
(The Brief)
M Howells Services has delivered structured building and refurbishment programmes across social housing and the public sector since 2002 — the kind of contractor that gets invited to tender rather than having to chase work. None of that came across online. What they needed was a site that read as credible to a council procurement team or a Tier 1 main contractor doing due diligence, not a small local builder's brochure page.
We built the full website and brand presence around the credibility M Howells had already earned — the accreditations, the client roster, and two decades of zero reportable injuries.
Public sector and Tier 1 procurement teams do their homework before they'll invite a contractor to tender. Compliance, safety record and existing relationships all matter more than a polished sales pitch — and a site that reads as generic or unfinished works against a contractor at exactly the moment it needs to build confidence.
Lead with what M Howells could actually prove: the accreditations, the named clients they already work for, and a service structure organised the way councils and contractors think about a programme of works — from groundworks through to modular extensions — rather than a generic builder's list.
(The Work)
A structured, credible identity built for the audience actually reading it — procurement teams and contracts managers — rather than homeowners browsing for a builder.
Every service organised around how a building programme actually runs: social housing delivery, building works and conversions, groundworks, and modular extensions through the Podular Systems partnership.
A dedicated route for procurement teams to invite M Howells to tender directly from the site, backed by the credentials and project history a due-diligence check would look for.
(Trusted By)
Over 20 years in operation, zero reportable injuries, and selected by national contractors and local authorities across the Midlands. The credibility already existed — the site just needed to show it.

A contractor working in occupied social housing needs to read as dependable and safety-first, without tipping into the cold, faceless feel a lot of construction sites default to.
